House of the Dragon returns for season three on June 22, and to mark the release, the HBO Max series is taking over Sydney in spectacular fashion.
This weekend, on Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20, HBO Max is releasing The Dragon’s Lair — an interactive activation hosted deep within Sydney’s historic Wynyard tunnels.
Inspired by the world of House of the Dragon, The Dragon’s Lair invites fans to step into a world where “smoke thickens, shadows coil and forces stir”, HBO Max describes.
“Are you prey or partner? Only the dragon will decide.”
How to get tickets
Public tickets and session times for The Dragon’s Lair are strictly limited. Tickets will be available from today, offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
There are still a number of sessions available here, so make sure you don’t miss out.
The entrance to The Dragon’s Lair will be located in Wynyard Park, above Wynyard Train Station, between York Street and Carrington Street.
A limited number of additional tickets will be released at the onsite ticket booth each day for those bold enough to try their luck.
What can you expect at The Dragon’s Lair?
According to the event description, you can expect to be guided down the tunnels of Wynard by “Dragon Keepers”, who will guide your way to the “underbelly of the Dragon Pit”.
“It is here you must prove your worth.”
The experience takes place along a one-way system in a series of underground tunnels, with lighting and special effects sequences that include flashing, flickering and patterned effects, as well as strobe effects.
Smoke and haze effects may be used in some areas of the route.
When does House of the Dragon season three air?
House of the Dragon returns for season three on Monday, June 22, only on HBO Max.
The eight-episode season will air new episodes weekly, leading up to the season finale on August 10.
