Last night, House Rules’ Pete and Courtney took out the title, beating their rivals, Tim and Matt along with Lisa and Andy.
Since then, the couple has opened up about their time on the show, revealing that while they’re still basking in the glory of their win—which saw them receive an astounding score of 29/30 from the judges— the married couple are looking forward to taking some much needed time off!

Speaking to TV Week, the dance teachers revealed that they’re hoping to take a break from reality TV, spend more time with their adorable one-year-old son, Casper and hopefully give him a little brother or sister in the near future!
“I think it’s going to give us the gift of time,” Pete told the outlet, referring to their win. “It means Courts won’t have to rush back to work. Maybe for me, I can take a breather and enjoy [Casper] and soak him up before we get back to the real world.
“There will definitely be a little sibling sometime in the future but right now, it’s all about him,” Courtney said in reference to her son!
Last night’s episode of the hit Channel Seven reno series was a particularly emotional one for Pete and Courtney. The pair broke down in tears when Joh Griggs announced their big win, taking home $250,000 prize money. And although they’ve since described the experience as “a rough and amazing ride”, the couple told WHO they’re struggling to cope with their newfound fame.
“We’re experiencing everyone coming for a drive-by and taking photos,” Pete told WHO. “I’ve pulled up and they’ve driven off like I’m going to yell at them or something!
“I did find someone standing on the chess set which was interesting.
“When you open your home to everybody at home, people are excited and I think that being in our little pocket of Melbourne, I think everyone in Fern Tree Gully was pretty excited to have someone on House Rules.”
