Lawrence Llewelyn-Bowen might be the greatest thing to happen to Australian reality TV.
His sharp tongue and knack for articulating EXACTLY how he feels is admirable.
MUST WATCH: Meet Tanya and Dave
And on Monday night’s episode of House Rules: High Stakes, the British design expert let rip on Tanya and Dave’s fireplace, which was actually loved by its new owners, Kayne and Aimee.
‘My eyes start moving to the left and start alighting to one of the nastiest things I’ve actually ever seen in the history House Rules,’ he began, as the Perth parents watched his critique in disbelief, truly believing that they could take the week’s $10,000 in cash.
‘I feel as though I’m looking at something debased and deformed I shouldn’t be staring. I feel as though I should be looking away in shame. The fireplace equivalent of what is the poor and unfortunate Elephant Man,’ he admitted. WOW.
And finally, ‘It’s going to take hundreds of thousands of dollars of psycho therapy to get over that fireplace.’
The guy is savage AND suave.
Tanya looked shocked, Dave looked angry.
‘If I had that fireplace in my home I’d be absolutely over the moon… I absolutely love that fireplace,’ the mother-of-two said.
Lawrence scored them a six, so did Saul. Kyly gave them a seven, bringing their total to 19-out-of-30.
They plummeted to the bottom of the leader board, while their enemies, Kimmy and Rhi jumped to the top.
Then, in a twist, the contestants were then asked to score their opponents’ rooms, leaving room for strategic voting.
But, the teams voted fairly, and Kimmy and Rhi won the cash!
‘It feels good because our whole week was shit,’ Rhi said, referring to her beef with Tanya and Dave over space, design and THAT fireplace.
