As I continue to eat everything in the pantry for hours on end, Adele has been using her time in self-isolation to focus on her health and fitness. And it’s certainly paying off!

After a brief social media hiatus, the ‘Hello’ singer returned to Instagram yesterday to unveil her svelte physique on her 32nd birthday. Sporting a massive smile and a skintight black dress which showcased her long legs, fans and celebrities alike were going nuts over her dramatic transformation, with Chrissy Teigen leading the pack.
So, how exactly has she managed to shed an insane amount of weight in what feels like a very short period of time? A source close to the Grammy award-winning songstress told E! News she’s been getting a lot more than her 10, 000 steps in!
“She goes to different gyms. She goes early in the morning and meets with her trainer. She gets her workout in first thing.
“She works out for about an hour and leaves drenched in sweat and looking like she worked very hard. She’s also staying active going on walks and getting in a lot of steps. She is in a groove,” her pal told the outlet.
Adele flaunted her trim down earlier this year, telling a fan she bumped into while vacationing in Anguilla with close friends Harry Styles and James Corden, that she was doing well!
“Adele came over and sat down next to me and my friend and was like, ‘So what can I do for you girls?’. We were so excited. We were talking to her for a little while, and then she got Harry Styles to come over and sit with us also,” Lexi Larson told People of her meeting with the star.
“She said she lost something like 100 pounds, and that it’s such a crazy positive experience. She seemed so happy, and she looked amazing. She seemed really confident.”
While the songwriter is adamant she’s on track, her nearest and dearest are said to be concerned for the health and wellbeing, with some of her pals even begging the “Someone Like You” artist to “slow down and stop dieting”.
“Nobody disputes she’s done brilliantly to lose this weight, but now it’s getting obsessive,” an insider told Radar Online. “If she left it as she is now that would be fine, but she’s talking about losing a bunch more and really pushing herself to get the body of an athlete.
“She’s eating bird-sized portions and working out non-stop in the gym – often up to three times a day! Fitness has turned into a real OCD obsession, but she can’t seem to do moderation at all.”
Her change in figure comes months after she confirmed she’d split from her husband of seven years, Simon Konecki, 45.
“Adele and her partner have separated,” the singer’s representative Benny Tarantini and Carl Fysh said in a statement to the Associated Press. At the time of their split, a representative for the Skyfall singer said: “Adele and her partner have separated. They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment.”
