Seven weeks into the WHO 12-Week Challenge, our Challengers are reaping the benefits of meditation, which studies show reduces stress, anxiety and fatigue. Inspired by passionate meditator Cameron Diaz’s book, Longevity, Charlotte Warden is practicing twice daily.
“The higher your cortisol levels, the more likely you are to gain weight or unlikely to lose weight,” says Warden.
“In the past, it has helped me naturally kick depression and anxiety. At first I found this very hard to sit and not think of all the things I need to do but now I can relax and gently release thoughts from my mind,” she continues.
