From sneaky kisses to spooning in bed, fans have long been convinced Charlotte Crosby and Ryan Gallagher have plans to take their jungle romance into the real world.

However, in an unexpected turn of events, the Geordie Shore alum revealed on last night’s episode of I’m A Celeb that she isn’t interested in jumping into anything serious with Ryan anytime soon.
Speaking to co-star Tanya Hennessy about the state of her relationship with the former MAFS contestant, the blonde Brit said that her desire to be single now overrides her seemingly strong feelings for Ryan.
“I’ve just come out of a really serious relationship. Before that one I got in a relationship really fast from another serious relationship so I feel like, all together, I’ve been in a relationship for three years,” she told the popular Aussie comedian.
“I need some time to be single and have fun.”
Charlotte went on to admit that while she’s quick to fall in love, the way her fellow campmates talk about their fling puts added pressure on her to continue advancing their relationship.
“Sometimes the way [the other celebs] talk about us makes us feel a little bit scared,” she told a visibly shocked Ryan.
“They actually speak like we’re in a relationship. It’s a bit scary for us because obviously I’ve just come out of a serious relationship… where like I was literally living with another boy.”
While many fans of the adventure series have expressed how much they love the pair as a couple, their decision to cap things at a friends level may be due to the fact their TV romance is reportedly all for the show! Word has spread the pair— who share the same talent agency, Stage Addiction— secretly hatched this plan months before filming began in an attempt to remain in the competition and make it to the finals.
“Charlotte is only recently single so timing-wise, it worked out perfectly for them to get viewers invested in their pretend love story,” the spy told New Idea. “Ryan is not her type at all but she knows the fans will love it.”
The insider added that both Ryan and Charlotte are experts at giving the people what they want and know exactly how to remain relevant and in the public eye.
“Her whole career is based on hooking up on TV, she knows exactly how to win ratings,” the source added. “Ryan was also on Married at First Sight, so it’s obviously something he was open to.”
