Perez Hilton is now the second I’m A Celeb contestant to rage at his campmates, however, his meltdown during last night’s episode was unlike anything we’ve seen before.
WATCH: Perez Hilton loses it as his I’m A Celeb co-stars over a banana
Just moments before the controversial gossip guru was sent packing after being voted out, he randomly decided to go in on his co-stars, literally screaming over how to divide up a sliced banana. Talk about being petty!
The feud began when Ryan Gallagher suggested Charlotte Crosby should eat the fruit seeing as she doesn’t care for the oats they were given. Unable to stay out of the drama a furious Perez butted in, claiming the loved up couple were “disrespecting” and “attacking” Miguel Maestre who cut up the banana for everyone to share.
“I’m not having them disrespect Miguel,” he said, before entering into a fit of rage. “It’s as simple as that. You’re being so disrespectful to him. The way you were talking to him was not caring.”
Ryan then claimed it was Perez who was disrespecting their co-stars by screaming at them, adding he was only stirring the pot to grab headlines.
“I’m not going to do a blog. I reacted the way I did because this man has done so much for you. All he was trying to do was be fair, it was two people attacking him,” he said.
Rushing to Ryan’s defence, Charlotte begged Perez to back off and take a moment to calm down.
“There is no need to start screaming at everyone,” the former Geordie Shore star said. “Just let it play out. It is a disagreement. We will all just shrug it off and be fine afterwards. Don’t blow it up.”
As expected, his bizarre spat sparked outrage, with dozens of perplexed viewers taking to Twitter to slam the American blogger.
“They’re full on bawling about bananas,” one fan of the adventure series wrote.
“I feel like Perez is really insecure and has no filter which has made him successful, but everyone in the camp is just tolerating him and doing what they can in that situation, but they have no interest in being part of the drama he stirs up,” another wrote.
Despite the strange feud, Perez realised his comments were uncalled for and later apologised.
“I’m generally sorry, truly. I wish I could have handled it differently. I could have handled myself differently,” he said. “I feel very regretful and remorseful over how I responded to what I observed as disrespect towards Miguel, but I don’t respond that way in my real world.”
