Throughout this season of I’m A Celeb, Ryan Gallagher and Charlotte Crosby’s jungle romance was plagued by rumours they were forging their feelings for one another in an attempt to grab headlines.

However, after sadly exiting the jungle and leaving the former Geordie Shore star to fend for herself, Ryan has addressed and subsequently dispelled claims their relationship was disingenuous, confirming he was, in fact, head over heels for the bubbly Brit.
“Obviously I’d love it to keep going outside of the show. I really do like her,” the Married At First Sight alum said in his final with hosts Chris Brown and Julia Morris.
He echoed a similar sentiment in an interview with 10 Daily and even told Charlotte that he wouldn’t continue to couple up if she had little interest in getting to know him.
“I went in there as myself and I wouldn’t do anything for the camera,” Ryan said. “At the start of the show, when we first slept in the same bed, I said, ‘If you’re doing this for the cameras, I want nothing to do with it’. I’m not stupid.
“There are real feelings there, on my side definite feelings. I didn’t expect any of it but I’m very lucky. It felt like I had a loved one in there.”
His comments come after an insider claimed Charlotte and Ryan— who share the same talent agency, Stage Addiction— secretly hatched this plan months before filming began in an attempt to remain in the competition and make it to the finals.
“Charlotte is only recently single so timing-wise, it worked out perfectly for them to get viewers invested in their pretend love story,” the spy told New Idea. “Ryan is not her type at all but she knows the fans will love it.”
The insider added that they’re experts at giving the people what they want and know exactly how to remain relevant and in the public eye.
“Her whole career is based on hooking up on TV, she knows exactly how to win ratings,” the source added. “Ryan was also on Married at First Sight, so it’s obviously something he was open to.”
Days later, gossip guru Richard Reid revealed he agreed with these accusations, saying: “I wouldn’t be surprised if her jungle romance was a little bit put on on her part.”
Their campmate Perez Hilton— who was eliminated earlier this week— also revealed he was “so over” their confusing relationship and entered the jungle with the sole intention of breaking them up. While it’s a little unclear why Charlotte and Ryan’s courtship rubbed him the wrong way, Perez said he fears Australia isn’t getting to see who they really are!
“I’m going to be interviewing them all and trying to get juice… and maybe see if I can break-up Charlotte and Ryan. It’s one of my goals,” the controversial columnist said.
“You know, a lot of people out there are thinking the romance with Ryan is fake,” he said, “and it’s not a good look!”
