Shane Crawford is a former Australian rules football player. Throughout his career he has played 305 senior games for Hawthorn Football Club and has won the coveted Brownlow medal. Here’s everything you need to know.

Currently, Shane is a prominent TV host appearing on AFL Footy Show, Postcards, Getaway and Kid’s WB.

Shane is also a popular children’s author to books Crawf’s Kick it to Nick.

The 44-year-old is a father to four sons whom he shares with his wife Olivia Crawford and has broken several world records while appearing on the Footy Show.

Set to ace the challenges on I’m A Celeb…In 2009 Shane set five Guinness world records during broadcasts of The Footy Show, which include Having 157 live Golden Orb spiders on his body inside a large tank for 30 seconds,  Kissing 96 people on the face in a minute, putting on 180 pairs of underwear, surpassing the former world record of 150 and for cracking 90 eggs with his head in a minute.

Despite winning the Brownlow, Shane admitted it was extremely stressful for him.

“As a kid, you dream of winning a Brownlow Medal if you love AFL football and I found it extremely stressful because you’re going in as a short-priced favourite and everyone was just expecting me to win,” he wrote in a piece he penned for Nine.

Shane is an active fundraiser and in September 2010,  Shane completed 780 km run named “That’s What I’m Walking About” from Rundle Mall in Adelaide to the Channel 9 studio in Melbourne to raise awareness for breast cancer, which took him a total of 11 days to complete.  

The accomplished sportsman even has his own clothing label named Kiniki.
