For months, Abbie Chatfield has vehemently denied she was in a romantic relationship with Todd King.

Despite being spotted locking lips on more than one occasion, the unlucky in love Bachelor star continuously told her followers that they were nothing more than close friends and planned to keep their relationship platonic.
However, Who.com.au can exclusively reveal that the controversial reality TV star hasn’t been forthcoming let alone completely honest with her fans.
We got our hands-on direct messages between Abbie and an Instagram user— who has asked to remain anonymous— which show the 24-year-old confessing to dating Bachelor In Paradise’s Todd for six months.
After Abbie shared a photo with Todd to her IG Story with the caption “friends 5eva”, the person we spoke to responded to the photo, writing: “You’re just a rebound.”
Noticing the message many hours later, Abbie replied at 2:13 am writing: “You realise I dated Todd for 6 months? He and I were in love. You have literally no idea lol.”
“So you told everyone you were just friends. No one believed it,” the follower, who was later blocked, hit back.
“Your obsession with the bachelor is unwell,” a terse Abbie responded. “Yeah we did. We decided to lie for the protection of my mental health. Hope you find a therapist that works for you.”
We reached out to Abbie for comment, with the blonde beauty later telling us: “haha no comment. Sorry. There isn’t much more to it.”
Abbie’s unexpected admission comes after she was pictured cuddling up and later making out with Todd in October while enjoying a day at a beach in Noosa, Queensland. After spending some time in the sun, the seemingly loved up pair also enjoyed a romantic date later that evening where, once again, they were pictured packing on the PDA.
After the saucy snaps made headlines, Abbie dispelled romance rumours, telling Mamamia that “we’re good friends and have had a weekend together but that’s it! [It’s] nothing serious.”
Then, one week later, after appearing to set the record straight, they were pictured kissing again, leaving many of her followers even more confused. After the photos were published online, one follower of Abbie’s took to the comments section of an Instagram post saying they were happy she’d finally moved on after being sensationally dumped by Matt Agnew on national television.
“Good on you Abbie. Keep being yourself and honest. Also, love that you and Todd are together that’s awesome. Who needs paradise?”
Minutes later, Abbie replied, reaffirming that their relationship was platonic.
“hahah we aren’t! Very good friends but we live on opposite sides of the country.”
