Last year’s Bachelor winner, Irena Srbinovska, has addressed her feud with Bella Varelis, seemingly for the last time.
The 31-year-old nurse took to her Instagram stories yesterday, inviting people to ask questions about The Bachelor in the wake of the new season.
“Have you spoken to Bella since filming ended?” one follower asked her.
“No I haven’t,” came the first, rather blunt, part of the reply.
Irena and Bella struck up a friendship during the first part of filming for season eight of The Bachelor but ran into trouble when the group returned to filming after a break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Irena accused Bella of falsifying stories about her connection with bachelor Locky Gilbert during the time the cast was separated.
“And for those that want to know what really happened, to be honest, I don’t even know,” Irena continued her answer.
“Ultimately when you have two women falling for the same guy it’s never going to end well,” she stated.
“Emotions got the best of us, if I could go back in time to change how our friendship fell apart, of course I would. I was hurt but I’ve moved on.
“We tried to work things out but it was obvious when we returned that the relationship was done,” Irena claimed.
“This is the last time I am going to talk about her, I wish her nothing but happiness in her future. Will we ever talk again? The answer is no.”
Bella and Irena ended up being Locky’s final two, and he controversially told both of them that he loved them on their final dates, which is usually not allowed of the bachelor until he picks a winner.
The profession of love led to backlash from viewers as they questioned whether Locky’s feelings were genuine or not.
However, he and Irena recently celebrated their first anniversary as a couple.
“A lot of people thought we’d break up or it was just for the show, but a year later we are just as crazy in love and happier than ever – love triumphed!” Irena said in a recent chat with WHO.
They also revealed that they had suffered a devastating loss as a couple, with Irena suffering a miscarriage in their first few months together.
“Locky was my absolute rock and having his support made me love him even more,” the nurse said.
They also revealed their plans to marry in the near future and begin a family.
“We talk about it all the time! We’ve even named our two future kids. We are on the same page there,” Irena divulged.
“We aren’t spring chickens, so it’ll happen sooner rather than later,” Locky said.
