The 23-year-old, who won Australia’s Got Talent in 2011 at the age of 14, told Daily Mail Australia everyone has their “own journey in finding security and confidence”.
“I think everyone has their own journey in finding security and confidence and that’s the message in the song,” said the singer, who has spoken out in the past about having lip fillers.
“No matter what that looks like, it looks different to different people.”
Jack made the comments while speaking about his new song ‘I Am King I Am Queen’, which inspires fans to be who they want to be and to accept themselves.
In May last year, Jack admitted to getting lip fillers and said he had finally found happiness in himself.
“I’ve had filler done [in my lips],” the star told The Kyle & Jackie O Show at the time, when asked about the changes he’s made to his face.
Jack also confessed that he had to step away from the spotlight to “grow up” before returning to the public eye.
“It was also so nice to have that break as well to chill out, grow up and be a kid for a little while and to come back over the last year,” he told Daily Mail.
“I’ve been able to comeback into it after forming my own beliefs and opinions and all that kind of thing and becoming an adult and stepping back into the public eye and to having a career in the music industry.”
Former The Voice star Jack has impressed many over the years on reality singing competitions, but the plump-pouted Aussie has managed to win over the toughest critic of all – Simon Cowell – on America’s Got Talent: The Champions earlier this year.
Jack sang You Say by Lauren Daigle in his return to the franchise that sees 40 singers from around the world compete in a bid to be crowned the global winner.
Heidi Klum gave Jack, 22, a standing ovation, Howie Mandel said he was great but “needed the confidence”, while Simon was the toughest on the Sydney native.
“I think you have an extraordinary voice but that was way too safe,” Simon said.
“I think you are way, way better than that, so I’m hoping the super-fans vote you through to the next round because there’s way more to come from you. Way more.”
But that was the end of Jack’s journey after he was eliminated when he lost the judges’ vote.
But it’s not the end of him.
He will be back in the spotlight when he competes for the chance to represent Australia at this year’s Eurovision. He has also released the single ‘I Am King I Am Queen’.
