Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler are household names in the entertainment industry. Both bearing effortless charm and unmatched comedic timing, the pair, have been friends for three decades. Long before their first co-starring roles in 2011 rom-com, Just Go With It, Jen and Adam first met through mutual friends in the early 90’s.
Since, a beautiful friendship has blossomed, where they continue to maintain a “family”-like connection.

1990’s
Speaking to Jimmy Kimmel in a joint interview in 2011, Jennifer revealed that her and Adam first met “at Jerry’s Deli in 1990-91” through mutual friends.
Bonding over pickles, this was just the start of the pair’s kindling friendship.
Speaking to E! News about the encounter, Adam said, “I knew I was going to be friends with her. I didn’t know I was going to be making movies with her.”
Later, in 1999, they both went on to star in the romantic comedy, Big Daddy, however, didn’t share any scenes together.
2011
Jennifer and Adam reunited for the first time on-screen in Just Go With It. During the filming of the Hawaii-set rom-com, their friendship became even closer where they would enjoy each other’s company between takes.
“We would wrap, we’d go have dinner together,” Jennifer shared with E! News.
The year after, Adam honoured his co-star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame where he said, “I love this girl, my wife loves this girl, the entire world loves this girl…”.
2019
Fans were delighted to see the duo starring alongside each other again in Netflix’s Murder Mystery. Playing a married couple, Adam said they would often taunt each other.
“She sends me texts, ‘Nine days til kising – here it comes’,” he told the Associated Press.
While promoting the film, the public were also granted further insights into their special bond.

2021
Speaking to the The Hollywood Reporter, Adam gave his sincere praises to his buddy.
“She and my wife have a nice time tag-teaming to try to make me a healthier human being. Like, they want me to stretch more — eventually be able to touch my toes, which I’m about 9 inches away from.”
“But Jen’s also just funny as hell, and she makes you so happy.”

2023
Fans didn’t have to wait as long this time… Starring in Murder Mystery 2 on Netflix, our favourite dynamic duo are back at it again and we can’t get enough of their friendship tidbits.
Upon arriving at the Los Angeles premiere, Jen teased Adam on his signature sweater and shorts attire, “What the hell are you doing? I’m not standing next to him,” she said during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

Jennifer joined Adam’s fellow rom-com co-star Drew Barrymore to deliver him the 24th Annual Mark Twain Prize for American Humour at The Kennedy Center.
Appearing on Drew’s talk show, Jennifer poked further fun at her friend’s fashion sense.
“What do you think I got him as a wrap gift? A new wardrobe,” she said. According to the Friends star, she collaborated with his wife Jackie.
In August 2023, Jennifer revealed just how close their special bond was in an interview with WSJ. Magazine.
The actress revealed that Adam and his wife Jackie send her flowers each year on Mother’s Day. The latest comments come almost a year after Jennifer opened up about her past infertility struggles and IVF attempts.
“Aniston, who does not have children and has spoken openly about her struggles with fertility treatment, says Sandler and his wife send her flowers every Mother’s Day,” the story shared.
