Jennifer Lawrence’s appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon has got Hunger Games fans wondering, exactly what went down on the set between Katniss and her co-stars.
The Oscar winner turned on her best performance yet during a revealing game called “True Confessions”. Playing along with Jimmy and guest John Oliver, the trio sat around a small table with two envelopes. One of the envelopes contained a true confession whilst the other contained a lie. The players took it in turns to open an envelope and then convince the other two that it was true, regardless if it was or wasn’t.
The X-Men: Apocalypse actress began by opening her envelope and then reading, “I once took an Ambien before filming a scene in The Hunger Games.”
Ambien is an extremely strong sedative used to treat insomnia.
Jimmy joked, “Were you sleeping in the scene?”
The 25-year-old followed up on the story, claiming that she took the sedative just before she had to shoot a scene that involved her dancing! When questioned as to why she took the sedative, Lawrence laughs and responds, “I thought it was something else”.
As reckless as it sounds the tale actually turned out to be true. Jennifer was telling the truth! Unfortunately she didn’t reveal which scene it was, but she did reveal that it involved dancing. At least that narrows it down a bit.
