Jesse Metcalfe announces engagement to longtime girlfriend Cara Santana

Desperate Housewives star Jesse Metcalfe and his girlfriend of 10 years, fashion blogger Cara Santana, are engaged.

A rep for 37-year-old Metcalfe confirmed the news to Who on Tuesday. 

Santana, who celebrated her 32nd birthday on Aug. 15, took to Instagram to share her anticipation of the year ahead by captioning a snap, “Missing this view and last weekend already // but so excited for the future year.”

Metcalfe also shared a picture of the couple to Instagram and wished Santana a happy birthday. “What a weekend! Meant to get this up yesterday, but was too busy celebrating. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my baby!!!”

The news comes just a month after Santana exclusively told Who the couple had purchased a new house together.
