Being in the business since she was a pre-teen, Alba had tasted success before, starring in Never Been Kissed alongside Drew Barrymore, but it was the role of Max Guevara that made her instantly recognizable.

Now 35, Jessica has told InStyle how uncomfortable she felt as a sex symbol when in real life, she was a virgin.

At 25 Jessica felt at odds with her public perception and wanted to be known for more than her naturally good looks.  “I sort of went through a life crisis. I was like, ‘This isn’t what I set out to be. I’m so much more than this.”

Now happily married to Cash Warren and a mother of daughters, Honor, 7 and Haven, 4, the actress and entrepreneur is focusing on her business interests in addition to acting with the creation of The Honest Company.
