Congratulations are in order for Johnny Galecki and his girlfriend Alaina Meyer who are officially parents to a beautiful baby boy!

The 44-year-old Big Bang Theory star— who played Leonard Hofstadter on the long-running series— announced they’d safely welcomed their first child together late last night, sharing an adorable picture of the couple holding their new bundle of joy’s tiny hand.
“With full and grateful hearts we welcome our beautiful Avery into this incredible world,” the beloved actor captioned the black and white Instagram picture. “Thank you for all of your love and support.”
His San Diego model girlfriend, 22, shared the same announcement with her Instagram followers!
Johnny and Alaina— who documented her pregnancy journey extensively on Instagram— announced they were expecting a baby in May, with Johnny later revealing on The Talk Galecki that he was hoping for a girl!
“I get a little bored looking exactly the same for nine and a half months every year playing Leonard, so we wrapped and I put some blue in my hair,” he said. “Then I got superstitious that I was like manifesting a boy… when I kinda prefer a girl… don’t play this tape for my child years from now… so I painted my nails pink to kinda even out the energy there.”
The couple later announced with a blue-themed gender reveal party that they were having a boy! They also confirmed they were set on the name Avery.
“We are absolutely over the moon to announce that we will soon be welcoming a little one into this crazy and wonderful world,” the couple told PEOPLE at the time. “There truly is love out there for all. We hope ours is the ember of yours, as we feel yours is the ember of ours.”
Johnny and Alaina went public with their romance in September 2018, sharing a photo to Instagram of the couple from a night out together. They later made their red carpet debut in November at the 2019 People’s Choice Awards.
Johnny previously dated his Big Bang Theory co-star, Kaley Cuoco. After two years together, they split in 2009. Kaley went on to marry professional tennis player Ryan Sweeting in 2013.
