It has been four months since news hit that Johnny Ruffo had been tragically diagnosed with brain cancer. Now, the Home And Away alum has shared the most AMAZING transformation photo to his social media.
Taking to Instagram the 29-year-old entertainer captioned a before-and-after image with the caption, ‘What a huge difference, now I just need my hair back 😜’
Ruffo’s 248,000 followers were quick to wish the star well wishes and love!
“How fab do you look,” one fan wrote.
Another added, “You’re so brave what an absolute trooper.”
“Sending lots of love your way,” one commenter added.
It was August of this year that the former X-Factor contestant shared the horrible news. The happy-go-lucky fan favourite shared that he visited the doctor casually to find a cure for his migraines, but CT and MRI scans revealed the terrifying truth. There was a 7cm tumour in the right frontal lobe of his brain – it turned out to be cancerous – and Johnny would die unless he had emergency surgery to remove it.
Sharing to his fans at the time, Ruffo wrote: ‘So i have the news. It was a bit of a shock and i’ve got an interesting journey ahead and a bit of a battle. I am starting agressive treatment for the next few months to fight the diagnosis of brain cancer. Please stay positive for me and ill try to update you guys on my progress 🤞🏼 xx’
After an intense radiotherapy schedule – five days a week for six weeks – it appears the star is officially on the mend!
So good to see Johnny making such a great recovery!
