Just when you thought we were done with the holiday season, Disney has gone ahead and announced a new Christmas movie – and this time it’s all about The Jonas Brothers.
Oh yes, the boys are heading back to their Disney roots with a brand-new holiday comedy – A Very Jonas Christmas– which is set to premiere on Disney+ during the 2025 holiday season.
And if you’re wondering – isn’t it a little too early (or rather, too late) for a Christmas movie? Well, you’re not alone.
Following the release of the teaser trailer, fans flooded the comments with confusion (and a little dismay) over the timing, considering it’s a Christmas movie announced in February…
“I swear Christmas just keeps getting earlier and earlier every year,” said one fan, while another added: “This is going to be awesome, but… isn’t this a bit early to announce?”
We’d have to argue that it’s never too soon to start thinking about the holidays – especially when there’s a brand-new Christmas movie to look forward to.
While a few production stills may have left fans excited and equally confused, the first official photos may not have clarified what we can expect, but all we know is we can’t wait.

What is the new Jonas Brothers movie about?
While we don’t know too much at this stage, it has been teased that A Very Jonas Christmas will follow Joe, Nick, and Kevin as they face a series of escalating obstacles as they struggle to make it from London to New York in time to spend Christmas with their families.
The brothers also serve as producers, working alongside Adam Fishbach, Spencer Berman, and Scott Morgan. Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger take on both writing and producing roles.
Emmy and Academy Award winner Jessica Yu directs, while Grammy nominee Justin Tranter serves as executive music producer, creating original songs for the movie.
If the news of a new movie wasn’t exciting enough, the trio confirmed that they would also be dropping a new album to accompany the film.
“One of the things we’re really excited about, and that was so appealing for us to do this project, is that there’s a full album that’s coming along with the film that has some holiday music and some other music,” Nick told People.
The brothers have also teased that we may see the return of a few Disney favourites, with Joe adding, “The cameos in this film – it’s wild. There are so many people a part of this that we’ve yet to announce. The list goes on, and hopefully, we’ll be able to keep some of it secret up until the release.”
