Justin Theroux is engaged to actress Nicole Brydon Bloom, six years after his divorce from Jennifer Aniston – and while he’s remained tight-lipped over the pair’s romance, here’s everything you need to know.
Theroux, 53, reportedly proposed to Bloom, 30, while holidaying in Italy in the lead-up to the Venice Film Festival, where they made their debut as the future Mr and Mrs Theroux.
The couple were in town for a screening of his new film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice at the festival, alongside his co-stars Winona Ryder, Jenna Ortega and Monica Bellucci, and the pair used the event to show off Bloom’s dazzling engagement ring.
According to People, the ring is a custom design with a sweet nod to the two of them.
“The 4-carat, emerald cut, flawless diamond is set in platinum with 18-carat yellow gold inlay,” the publication confirmed, adding,“It also features Bloom and Theroux’s birthstones embedded in the band.”
Bloom, who’s known for her roles in The Gilded Age and The Affair, was dating Theroux for a little over a year before he popped the question, yet fans have only seen them together a handful of times publicly – and for good reason.
Theroux was a huge fixture in the spotlight when he was married to America’s sweetheart Aniston from 2015 to 2018.
This time around, he wanted to do things very differently.
In the months leading up to their public debut in August 2023, when they shared a kiss on a dinner date in New York City, he told Esquire it was “much more fun not being in a public relationship”.
He continued, “There’s something to, once you’re out of that, where I want all of my relationships to exist within the four walls of whatever room we’re in.”
It was only in August that he posted a photograph of himself with Bloom on his own Instagram account, after featuring sporadically on his fiancée’s.
In it, he was captured giving Bloom a kiss on the cheek, leading some to wonder if that was the moment she said yes to marriage.
The Mullholland Drive star might have had a proposal on his mind for some time.
In December 2023, he attended the New York nuptials of Bloom’s twin sister, Chrissy, at the iconic Plaza Hotel – quite the milestone in their relationship given they were thought to have been together for just a matter of months at that point.
Then, in June of this year, the couple travelled to Mexico City for good friends Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup’s second wedding.
