Justin Timberlake may have lived the “Thanksgiving dad life” on Thursday as he helped wife Jessica Biel put the finishing touches on a pumpkin meringue pie for their dinner with 2-year-old son Silas Randall, but on Saturday he was working hard to prevent getting the Thanksgiving dad bod!

The “SexyBack” singer, 36, traded in the turkey for some push-ups, in video taken by Biel and shared to Timberlake’s Instagram page.

He wasn’t alone in his workout either, getting help from “mini Justin” Silas who laid on top of his dad’s back to give some added weight to the exercise.

“Shaking off those leftovers like…,” Timberlake captioned the post before wishing his followers a happy holiday. “Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!”

If Timberlake is multi-tasking, that could be because he and Biel are still working on managing their schedules as working parents.

“It’s hard — trying to find a balance between work and family and just being an independent human,” Biel, 35, told Ryan Seacrest and guest host Busy Philipps on Live with Kelly & Ryan in August. “You’re stretched thin everywhere, and it’s been amazing creatively but really hard. I think every working parent must feel the same.”

Biel said the family of three has been “stable … which is so nice,” but that Timberlakeis “sort of all over the place” with his own work too. “I don’t think you ever master finding the balance. Like, you master it, and then your kids are grown up,” she said. “Then you’re home alone and sad, like, ‘I wish I had something to master!’ ”

As for  little Silas, he seems to be handling it well. Biel told PEOPLE in April 2016 that her son and husband are “like the same person” and that Silas is “like a mini version of [Justin].”

“They like to sit and watch golf together. The only TV that Silas is allowed to watch is the Golf Channel, which is really funny,” she added.
