When their six-year-old daughter North West stepped out wearing makeup last week, Kanye West had a lot to say about it. In fact, behind closed doors, the popular rapper— who’s best known for his smash hit, “Gold Digger”— had stern words with his wife Kim Kardashian for letting their little one be seen in public wearing eyeliner and lipstick.
While at a dinner party for the launch of her and supermodel Winnie Harlow’s KKW x WINNIE collaboration, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star opened up about their tiff, revealing that although she’s always been a big supporter of their daughter experimenting with different looks, Kanye’s since put a stop to it!
“I’d let her wear — you know, she has a little red for Christmas — I’d let her wear a red lip, or I’d let her do one pop of something,” the mum-of-four explained. “I’d let her, if she’s wearing a black dress, a black lip.”
She continued: “So, I kind of got in trouble for that. So, it’s now no more makeup.”
Such a dad move!

This isn’t the first time Kim has come under fire for her seemingly controversial parenting choices.
Last week, the makeup mogul was dragged online for allowing North to wear large hoop earrings. As always, the mum-shamers— who were in full force— were rather harsh with their comments.
“So cute but my daughter WOULD NEVER be wearing those big hoop earring at such a young age… Come on mama keep your baby girl humble. Some beautiful diamond studs fit so much better on a young girl,” another chimed in.
Although the majority of the comments about her hoops were negative, a few brave users defended the KKW Beauty founder, telling everyone to mind their own business!
“People hate so much that North is wearing hoops. Like are you the mother? No. Let Kim decide what she can and can’t wear,” she wrote. “North is her daughter anyway. She looks super cute and sassy!”
Another said: “Yall really will come for her regardless of what she does. Like you didn’t play dress-up with earrings when you were little,” said another Instagrammer, rushing to her defence.
