Karl Stefanovic and Lisa Wilkinson will take on the big screen!

The TODAY hosts will be starring in the fifth instalment of the Sharknado film series.

The pair will be playing themselves, reporting on the events that are happening in the movie, including sharks attacking kangaroos and even getting into the studio with their eye on Stefanovic.

A video shared on Syfy Australia’s Facebook page shows behind-the-scenes of the the breakfast TV hosts filming for the movie.
