1999 was a great year for Kate Beckinsale. She gave birth to her only child Lily Mo Sheen and also starred in Brokedown Palace with Claire Danes.
Despite splitting with Lily’s father, Welsh comedian Michael Sheen in 2003, the pair stayed close friends. Kate even socializes with his new girlfriend Sarah Silverman.
For Lily’s 16th Birthday, Kate and Michael re-created the birth of their only child, albeit this time a little more covered up. Speaking with e! online, Kate said, “I was actually in a very nice cigarette pant and a high heel. Michael took one of my legs [and held it up] and Lily came from behind and was diving between my legs.”
Now 17, Lily is still keen to play along with her witty parents, evidenced by this throwback snap on instagram.
Kate captioned the shot, “always a baby to me”, before alluding to an appearance on the Late Late Show with James Corden.
The English beauty is currently starring in the Jane Austen inspired romantic drama, Love and Friendship as Lady Susan Vernon.
