It’s no secret that the royals are seasoned professionals when it comes to tea parties, but this dinosaur-themed event certainly would have been Kate Middleton’s cutest yet.
The Duchess of Cambridge attended a children’s tea party on November 22 at the Natural History museum to celebrate the iconic entrance display of Dippy the Diplodocus’ final days at the landmark.
Chatting with the children in attendance, Kate shared that three-year-old Prince George is a huge fan of dinosaurs and volcanoes.
“George absolutely loves dinosaurs,” the 34-year-old Duchess gushed, disclosing her son had a particular affinity to T-Rex. “Probably because he’s the noisiest and scariest.”

During the event, Kate helped decorate ‘dinosaur eggs’ with the children, took part in a mini fossil dig and also discussed her love for the movie Jurassic Park.
The visit to the museum was part of Kate’s duties as the Patron of the children’s mental health charity, Place2Be.
Earlier this year she delivered a powerful message during Children’s Mental Health Week, explaining the importance of raising awareness about emotional wellbeing in young people, a subject that lies close to her heart.
“Through my work in areas like addiction, I have seen time and time again that the roots of poor metal health in adulthood frequently stem from unresolved childhood issues,” she explained. “This needs to change. William and I feel that every child deserves to be supported through difficult times in their lives.”
