She’s faced off with some of daytime TV’s biggest monsters on The Bold and The Beautiful, but soap favourite Katherine Kelly Lang confesses she’s quaking at the prospect of what she might encounter on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Outta Here.
The star, who is known as a glamour queen on the show, says that life without makeup will be challenging, but she’s more worried about what fans will think of her, after years of associating her with the Brooke Logan character.
‘Most people expect me to be like Brooke, but I’m not really like her,’ she says of the immaculately presented but perpetually love-crazed character.
‘I like to be athletic,’ she says. ‘I like to do a lot of triathlons, a lot of iron man races… I fart.’
Oh dear. Let’s hope the I’m A Celebrity microphones aren’t overly sensitive.
Confessing she fears she ‘might freak out’ without her creature comforts or her phone, KKL is already planning to use meditation to get her through.
The star also told Sydney’s Daily Telegraph newspaper that she’s fearful what the cameras might show.
‘I am kind of nervous going on a show without make-up because I always wear make-up when I go on TV!’ told the paper, adding that she’s much more relaxed outside of work, happily going through life without cosmetics.
It remains to be seen how long KKL stay in the jungle; if she’s a serious competitor or just a short guest appearance.
It’s known she’s booked for a number of appearances in South Africa, where Bold is a big hit.
