On March 25, the Dawson’s Creek actress, 40, and the Robin Hood star, 51, were photographed together for the first time in three months. Snapped by the paparazzi in New York, the couple looked happy in each other’s company, smiling and laughing as they strolled through Central Park before heading to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
While they didn’t indulge in any romantic behaviour, that’s not unusual for the extremely private pair who have mostly shied away from being openly affectionate in front of others.
In fact, throughout the five years they’ve been together, the only time Holmes and Foxx have been spotted kissing was during a romantic beach date in 2017. No doubt one of the most discrete couples in Hollywood, they’ve made a conscious effort to keep the intimate details of their romance a secret, even going to extreme lengths – including wearing disguises – to keep things under wraps.
Despite remaining coy about their love for one another, Foxx and Holmes were at the centre of break-up rumours last month after eyewitnesses told Hollywood Life website that the Academy Award-winning actor – who was performing at the third annual Entertainment Studios Oscar Gala Supporting Children’s Hospital Los Angeles – “told the crowd he’s single” and “had a lot of women on stage and danced with them.” Shortly after, Us Weekly backed up the claims, adding: “It was very nonchalant, while he was referring to married and single couples, he just dropped the line, ‘I’m single.’ ”
Foxx and Holmes, who have been have been dating since October 2013, went public with their romance a little over a year after Holmes finalised her divorce from Tom Cruise, with whom she shares daughter Suri, 12. Foxx has two daughters, Corinne, 25, and Annalise, 9, from previous relationships with Connie Kline and Kristin Grannis.
