Sitting with the panel as she thanked them, and fans across Australia, for the support she’s received since losing the love of her life, Kerri-Anne was overcome by emotion as she contemplated moving forward alone after 35 years with her adored John.

‘The hole it leaves in your life, it’s so painful,’ she said. ‘It’s a hole that will never be filled.

‘It was a shock because I thought I would really have John for many, many, many years to come. It was a terrible shock.’
