Just one day after Kerry Knight and Johnny Balbuziente got engaged, the Married At First Sight stars shared unseen footage of the moment Johnny proposed.
Set on a boat looking out at Sydney Harbour, the proposal video was as beautiful as it was romantic… that is until eagle-eyed fans noticed one hilarious detail.
Johnny shared the clip of him proposing (see it below!) to the lyrics of an Ed Sheeran song on his Instagram on Monday night with the caption “the GREATEST day”.

It showed him and Kerry arriving near the Sydney Opera House for a private harbour cruise, then cut to Johnny dropping down on one knee while Kerry had her back turned.
The former MAFS bride had been snapping photos of the Harbour Bridge when she turned to find Johnny with a ring in hand, leaving her speechless.
“Are you serious?” she asked in the emotional moment, Johnny nodding to confirm he was indeed serious.
That’s when Kerry – who also had a glass of champagne in her hand – had to sneakily toss her phone onto a nearby seat so Johnny could continue with the proposal.
Fans found the detail hilarious, pointing it out on the comments and joking that only a truly perfect proposal could make a social media star throw their phone away so fast.
“Love the phone drop,” one wrote with several laughing emojis, another adding, “She tossed that phone down so fast!”
Perhaps the phone drop is this generation’s version of the mic drop?

Kerry couldn’t have cared less about her phone in the moment, breaking into a smile with tears in her eyes as she told Johnny “yes!”.
The pair shared a tender kiss, before Johnny slipped the stunning diamond ring on her finger, his bride-to-be sharing a close-up look at the end of the video.

Set in what looks like a white-gold band, the round cut diamond sparkled beautifully in the photo at the end of the clip.
But not before Johnny added his own cheeky moment to the video, sharing a clip of him looking a little ruffled by the strong winds on the harbour.
“So I just did the proposal and I could not look any better,” he joked as the wind flattened his hair to his head, Kerry laughing in the background.
The pair first met in 2020 when they attended their MAFS wedding, their season of the show airing in 2021.
After deciding to stay together at the final vows, they went from strength to strength, moving in together a few months later and then adopting a dog.
