In news that will no doubt come as a shock to most, word has spread that Khloe Kardashian is considering rekindling her romance with her cheating ex-boyfriend, Tristan Thompson. A source close to the former couple— who shared 17-month-old daughter True together— said they’ve been spending lots of time together.
“Tristan has shown more of an interest,” the source told PEOPLE. “He seems to want more than co-parent with Khloé. It seems Khloé has moments when she is toying with the idea of getting back with Tristan.”

Although she’s in two minds about the whole situation, those closest to the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star aren’t having a bar of it, with the source claiming they’ve been constantly reminding Khloe of the NBA player’s “disrespectful antics”.
“Everyone thinks she deserves better,” the source revealed. “But it seems Khloé needs a good distraction to fully move on mentally from Tristan. She needs to find a special guy, and so far, she hasn’t.”
It’s no secret the NBA player has spent months desperately trying to win Khloe over.
“Khloé is totally confused – Tristan has been begging her to get back together, and he posted that long gushing birthday message to her too,” a source told Us Weekly last month. “He’s been asking her to sit down with him properly, have a heart to heart – but she’s refusing. She wants to keep things civil for True’s sake, but she doesn’t want to risk falling for him again and getting her heartbroken all over again.”
He’s also been commenting on Khloe’s Instagram photos! After posting a blurry selfie in the sunshine, which she captioned, “May you have the courage to explore every dream you dream ☁️” Tristan showered Khloe in praise, writing: “The sun is shining [sic] bright on a beautiful 💎.”
Of course, the Khloe and Tristan saga continues in the new season of KUWTK.
Ahead of their daughter’s first birthday party— which aired on the season premiere two weeks ago— we saw Khloe — who had been separated from Tristan for over three months at that point— overly nervous for the controversial athlete to attend the celebration.
“I still have not spoken to Tristan face-to-face. And, right now, I’m not ready to,” Khloe said. “I know I’ll get to that place. Right now, it’s really challenging and tough for me.
“I literally just had to block Tristan because…I’m really just sick and tired of being the bigger person,” Khloe told her mum Kris Jenner and sister Kourtney Kardashian. “I sincerely don’t want him at True’s party and that’s not wrong of me, right?”
After weighing up her options, the reality TV star invited Tristan, and in an attempt to get ahead of the awkwardness, she had him come over the night before True’s bash to clear the air. Within minutes of him arriving she knew she’d made a huge mistake when he tried to kiss her.
“He was like, ‘Can I have a hug?’ And then I one-arm hugged him and he was like, ‘One? A one-handed hug?'” the Revenge Body host relayed to her shocked glam team.
“I was like, ‘That’s nice enough.’ And then he tried to kiss me and I go, ‘This is the problem with you. You can’t just take what you get.'”
While she quickly pushed him off— later asking him if he thought she had a sign on her head that read “dumb f***ing wh*re”— Tristan continued to shower the mum-of-one in compliments.
“I just wanted him to know, ‘I’m inviting you because you’re True’s dad and I do believe you should be there.’ And I think that’s the best choice for True, that’s really it,” Khloe admitted later on. “I don’t want him to take it the wrong way. ‘Cause, sometimes I feel like if I give an inch he takes a mile.”
While she tried to remain calm and collected during the celebrations, the trailer ends with Khloe in tears when she discovers Tristan had complained to Kanye West— Kim Kardashian’s husband— about his portrayal in the KUWTK season 16 promo trailer.
“We don’t control the narrative,” said Kim who shares four children with the “Gold Digger” rapper.
“Everyone thinks they’re doing the right thing,” Khloe concluded. “And I know everyone’s intention is to help and be protective and all of that, but at True’s birthday it’s not the right timing.”
