The Kardashians star welcomed her second child with Tristan via surrogate earlier this month and said she views motherhood as “a gift” despite her difficult history with her kids’ father.
“Being able to shape little people into really incredible big people is an honour and a gift,” she said of her new son and elder daughter True, four, in a new Elle interview.
“I know it’s cliche, but I love everything, even the hard parts [of parenting].”
One of the hardest parts could be her co-parenting relationship with ex Tristan, who was embroiled in a series of messy cheating scandals before their son was born.
The baby boy was concieved in November 2021, just one month before Khloé found out Tristan had cheated on her and fathered a child with another woman.
She and Tristan subsequently split and now she’s taking her role as a single mum “very seriously”, she told Elle.
“It’s super scary, but I take my job very seriously,” Khloé added.
“We have to take those roles seriously, especially in today’s day and age, with how much accessibility children have and the information they’re exposed to so young.”
Khloé has yet to share her son’s name with the public, though fans suspect she’ll choose another sentimental moniker for her second child.
“I knew I wanted my baby to have a ‘T’ initial, so one night while we were all at dinner, thinking of some names, my grandma MJ suggested True,” Khloe wrote when True was born.
“She told me it was my great-grandfather’s first name and my grandfather’s middle name.”
The star could also choose to pay homage to Tristan’s heritage, as the pair are understood to be on good terms as they continue to co-parent their children.
“I still think he’s a great guy, and he’s a great dad. He’s just not the guy for me,” she told ABC News while promoting The Kardashians.
“With Tristan, I did feel incredibly safe in the beginning, and I felt really good for a time.”
