As the all-consuming and deeply devastating Australian wildfires rage on, we’ve been lucky enough to receive donations from some of the world’s biggest names including Pink, Miley Cyrus, Margot Robbie, Selena Gomez, Paris Hilton, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban.

Since these celebrities have raised awareness and educated their followers on the seriousness of these fires, Kim Kardashian West has chimed in, telling her followers “climate change is real”. After also expressing her devastation at the loss of land, lives and animals, many Australians have been patiently waiting for the mum-of-four to announce her family’s donation to the bushfire relief efforts.

While she planned on apparently staying quiet, the makeup mogul was forced to address the matter this morning after one user Tweeted: “Nothing gets me more heated than to see the Kardashians/Jenners talk about climate change/wildfires & not donate even a penny.”

Furious at the accusation her wealthy family is yet to help, the KKW Beauty founder responded to the user’s comment, writing: “Nothing gets me more heated than to see people think they know what we donated to and to think we have to publicize everything.”

While many praised Kim for clapping back, others remained unconvinced.

“You publicise everything else though. And still wear fur… and take private jets… wild,” an angry user Tweeted, with another one adding, “I get this. But the number of times you guys showcase your luxury things… you could showcase some of your good deeds. You already publicise a lot, so why not this too?”

Unsurprisingly, Khloe Kardashian wasn’t having a bar of it and later retweeted her sister’s post, adding: “Therefore when you do your merciful deeds, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may have glory from men. Truly I say to you, They have their reward,” she wrote.

A few hours later, she added her two cents, admitting good deeds “should be done with intention and not for attention”.

“We often bring attention to causes and ways you can donate. It’s our job to bring awareness to situations so we all can help as a human race. We Frequently post/speak about organizations/websites where we can all help save our planet.”

She continued: “Good deeds should be done with intention and not for attention. We are all blessed to be able to bless others even if it is in the slightest way. But we do not need to be boastful about that. Be boastful in regards to teaching others how they may be able to help as well.”
