A backlash is brewing against Kim Kardashian after she was accused of posing on a magazine cover in “blackface” makeup.

It has been alleged that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star purposely attempted to look like a black woman in a cover shoot for 7Hollywood magazine.
Kim shared images from the shoot to her Instagram, and although it was supposed to be Elizabeth Taylor–themed, some people who saw it felt differently.
The mother-of-four, 39, received immediate criticism after sharing the images, with several followers saying that her tan and/or makeup looked far too dark — bordering on blackface.
“Would you please stop with the blackface it’s ridiculous to say [at] least,” wrote one of Kim’s followers.
Another commented, “She look black in that 2nd photo … hmmm here she go again.”
7Hollywood‘s Instagram account was also flooded with fury, calling for the images to be scrapped.
“Y’all are sick for this. She is not a black woman,” wrote one critic, with another accusing the mag of “promoting blackface.”
“Was the point to make her appear more ethnic,” asked one irate follower. “What’s with the darkening [of] her skin colour? She in no way is that complexion naturally. Unacceptable.”
