As just eight years old, North West is already the star of many viral moments. She certainly didn’t choose to become famous, but with parents like Kim Kardashian and Kanye West her life was destined to play out in the spotlight.
Using all that attention for good – at least, for the good of people on the internet – North is known to serve up brutal comebacks and one-liners to her mother. Most recently roasting their home as “ugly.”

In a new interview with Oh Bubble, Kim spoke about being a mother to four kids: Saint, Chicago, Psalm and their ringleader, Northie.
When asked about the meanest comment she’s ever copped from one of her kids, Kim surprised absolutely no-one by sharing one from her sassiest child.
“Every time I get into some kind of disagreement with my daughter North, she thinks this is a dig to me,” Kim explains. “And she’ll say, ‘Your house is all ugly, it’s all white. Who lives like this?’ She just thinks it, like, gets to me. And it is kind of mean, because I like my house.”
WHO. LIVES. LIKE. THIS.
I mean I get it, I used to harass my mother non-stop about her decision to have green tiles. But now that I’m an adult, my Pinterest board for the apartment I’ll never own is filled with images of luxe velvet green couches, Dakota Johnson’s green kitchen cabinets, and green bohemian splashbacks. Point being, kids are going to be kids and be appalled by their parent’s interior design choices, and mums will be vindicated 20 years down the track.
But I digress. The answer is millionaires, Northie, millionaires live like this.
To North’s credit, she wasn’t technically wrong. Kim’s house is famously very white, with an intensely minimalist approach to design. The star adopted a barely-there aesthetic after renovating her $60million mansion with her ex-husband Kanye.
The kind of spooky house is literally all white – or some other very close shade of beige or pale grey – with one neutral colour-scheme for the furniture, decor, artwork, flooring and walls.
No disrespect to design critic North West, but I actually enjoy some of the aesthetic looks in the very expensive home. Not in the way where I would ever replicate them in my own home, but in a kind of ‘oh, that’s interesting’ way.
Recently sharing her ‘favourite room’ in the house, Kim revealed a shot of her fireplace and, honestly, what I wouldn’t give to curl up in front of that thing one time.
Fans are often treated to glimpses into the home via Kim’s Instagram, so it’s fair to say we have a pretty good understanding of how it looks at this point. And yes, the answer is it looks very white.
It may not be up to North’s design standards, but she better get used to it. In their recent divorce settlement, it was decided Kim would keep the home in Hidden Hills and live there with the kids.
Perhaps for his next home, her dad Kanye will opt for a colour scheme more suited to her style? If not, we’re sure we’ll hear all about it.
