Kim Kardashian West has landed the cover of Forbes magazine (issue out on July 26), and she couldn’t be happier.
The reality star turned mobile-game developer, 35, took a swipe at her haters after cementing her place among the magazine’s 2016 Celebrity 100 List Of The World’s Highest-Paid Celebrities, tweeting, “Not bad for a girl with no talent.”
After news broke of the cover, Kardashian West took to Twitter to share the news with her fans, writing: “Such a tremendous honour to be on the cover of @forbes! I never dreamed this would happen & know my Dad would be proud.”
The mother of two was ranked No. 42 on the Forbes’ Celebrity 100 list, earning US$51 million ($67 million AUD) in the past 12 months, with 40 per cent grossing from her app.
Pop singer Taylor Swift took out the top spot, after earning US$170 million ($225 million AUD) over the last year.
Kardashian West has earned US$212 million ($279 million AUD) from her popular app Kim Kardashian: Hollywood since it launched in 2014. The game, which allows players to create their own celebrity life and climb to the top of the A-list ladder, has been downloaded more than 45 million times.
Kardashian West told Forbes conquering the tech world was very unexpected, but she’d become intrigued by the idea.
“I started spending a lot of time in San Francisco,” she said. “I realised this is really going to be the next cycle of my career and this is what I want to focus on.”
“This is fun for me. Now I’m coming up with Kimojis and the app and all these other ideas. I don’t see myself stopping.”
