Kim Kardashian has chosen a very dignified response to her breakup as she took to social media in the wake of her recent split from actor and comedian Pete Davidson.
As we know in the celebrity news cycle, what one doesn’t post to Instagram is just as relevant as what they do.
Kim seems to be taking the high road, returning to the platform to celebrate her sister rather than pontificate on her relationship breakdown.
Kylie Jenner turned 25 this week, which Kim marked with a loving tribute.
“Happy birthday party girl,” she wrote.
“Every year you amaze me at how wise, protective of your loved ones and just how generous your heart is,” Kim continued.
“You are so special and one of one. You have so much love and happiness in your love that I pray for this forever.
“Happy birthday @kyliejenner I love you so much!! Forever and Ever!!”
Kim and Pete’s split was confirmed last weekend, with multiple sources close to the couple sharing the news with E News and Page Six.
Multiple reasons were given, such as Pete’s apparent immaturity (he’s 13 years Kim’s junior), as well as the fact that they were doing long-distance while Pete films a movie in Far North Queensland.
However, fans couldn’t help their suspicion that the breakup – and perhaps the relationship – was a publicity stunt used to distract from other news within the Kardashian camp.
While Kim had her breakup confirmed, her younger sister, Khloé, was confirmed to have her second child via surrogate.

The need for a distraction came from the fact that Khloé’s new son was also born to her ex-partner, Tristan Thompson. A serial cheater, Khloé faced a lot of public backlash for her decision to have another child with the basketball player.
But multiple sources have confirmed that their surrogate was pregnant before Tristan’s most-recent cheating scandal, where it was found he fathered a child with another woman, Maralee Nichols, on his 30th birthday.
This came after he celebrated the day with Khloé and their first daughter, True.
Kim and Pete dated for nine months – exactly the length of a pregnancy.
They were first spotted together hanging out at an amusement park in Los Angeles, and Pete then slowly began to appear in some social media posts within the family.
Her relationship was confirmed and discussed on the most-recent season of The Kardashians, and a trailer for season two seems to show Pete will appear on screen.
