Is Kim Kardashian West a Swiftie?
Believe it or not, the reality star says she’s still “a fan” of Taylor Swift – despite her infamous spat with husband, Kanye West.
“I never publicly talk bad about people,” Kardashian West says in the new issue of Wonderland magazine, reported E! News. “I still don’t feel like I have. I’m being honest.”
The 35-year-old continued, asserting, “I’m a fan. I like her music. There was no shade.”
Earlier this summer, Kardashian West Snapchatted video recordings of a phone call between Swift and West, wherein the pop star seems to be heard allegedly approving the rapper’s “Famous” lyrics: “For all my Southside n—– that know me best / I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex.”
Swift can allegedly be heard saying, “It’s like a compliment.” Her rep later told PEOPLE that Swift had not been made aware of the full lyric, which includes the line, “I made that bitch famous.”
The incident was just the latest hiccup in West and Swift’s are-they-or-aren’t-they friendship.
In the time since, Kardashian West has said she “claps back” when she feels “like someone is being fake.”
A source further told PEOPLE that Kardashian West “was tired of Taylor being portrayed as this angel – she’s fake.”
In Wonderland, Kardashian West reportedly also reveals that members of Swift’s friend group reached out to her after the call leak.
“Girls in her squad hit me up on text,” she explains, before refusing to name names. “I’m not petty.”
