Kris Smith dropped a surprising bombshell on last night’s episode of I’m A Celebrity…
The 38-year-old admitted he was in the early stages of getting back together with an ex-girlfriend.
When chatting to contestant ex-Miss Universe Tegan Martin, he confessed he was “not single” but didn’t want to talk about it on camera because he wants to protect her privacy.
“It’s early days and I don’t want any of the sh*t with the press getting on it. I have very, very strong feelings. But that’s why I didn’t want it to be objectified to a point where it’s…” he explained before Martin chimed in: “That’s understandable. If you say you have a girlfriend, you will have to go into who.”
Later on he revealed to Ash Pollard that he was getting back together with an ex-partner.
“Although I told everyone that I was single, I am reconnecting with my ex and everything else. It is fresh. We are talking again about fixing things up,” he said.
The news comes as a disappointed to fresh contender Keira Maguire, who admitted she had her sights set on Kris Smith when entering the jungle.
“I don’t know about in the jungle because I am going to be covered in dirt, I am going to smell like camp fire, can you imagine coming up to him? I will do my best. I will have a crack,” she told News Corp.
Kris Smith shares a son with his ex-partner Dannii Minogue with whom he split from in 2012. He then went on to date model Maddie King, but the pair went their separate ways last year.
