The holiday film delivers honest truths about the LGBTQ community, telling the story of a young woman whose plans to propose to her girlfriend while away at her family’s holiday party go south when she discovers her partner hasn’t come out to her conservative parents.

As the Twilight star is currently the only cast member to be announced, many outlets have reported she will most likely play one half of the lesbian couple.

TriStar Pictures acquired the worldwide rights to the film earlier this year. The script was written by famous duo Clea DuVall (who is an out actress) and Mary Holland. Duvall, who starred in ‘Girl, Interrupted’ and the indie comedy-drama ‘The Intervention’ is set to direct the film.
