Her pout has been a hot topic for years, after she vehemently denied using lip fillers to enhance it, before finally owning up.
And now Kylie Jenner has now opened up about the cosmetic procedure and revealed the real reason why she decided to get lip injections in the first place.
In an interview with Complex, the youngest member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, 19, admitted that insecurities about boys led to her making the difficult decision to use lip injections.
“This guy I kissed was like, ‘Your lips are really small but you’re a really good kisser. I didn’t think you were gonna be good at kissing,’” she tells Complex about the reason she started to feel insecure about her lips. “It was so rude. From then on, I just felt like I saw guys staring at my lips. I felt like no one wanted to kiss me.”
Jenner admitted she wishes she had been honest about her decision from the beginning, however had reservations about how it might be perceived by the public.
“I wasn’t even 17 yet,” she says. “What if I came out and said, ‘Oh, yeah, I got my lips done’? What are all those moms going to think about me? These kids, my fans, they’re going to think I’m crazy. I didn’t want to be a bad influence.”
Admitting that the surgery became addictive, Jenner adds, “It’s annoying to hear every day that you’re just this fake, plastic person when you’re not. Every single day there was a news story about me.”
Despite suffering a huge media fallout at the time surrounding the cosmetic enhancement, Jenner has since managed to turn her insecurity into profit with her highly lucrative Kylie Lip Kits.
“I want to be as big as the other [cosmetic] brands,” she tells Complex. “It’s my dream to be on Forbes.”
And we have a feeling she’ll definitely follow in sister Kim Kardashian’s Forbes footsteps.
