The rumours are true! According to affable host Scott Cam, Kylie Minogue is set to guest star on Australia’s favourite renovation series, The Block.

Speaking to TV Week magazine, Scott said he convinced the pop princess to appear on an episode of the long-running series while she was touring Australia earlier this year.

“She’s an old friend of mine,” Scott, 56, said before revealing one lucky team taking part in season 15 will get to meet the 51-year-old Australian-British singer in Melbourne.

But the question on everyone’s lips is, will the beloved singer be slipping into a high-vis shirt and getting her hands on a sledgehammer? Not a chance!

“C’mon, we’re not putting Kylie in a hard hat!” Scott said of the former Neighbours star who recently performed at England’s famous festival, Glastonbury. “I think there are some things even Kylie wouldn’t do,” co-host Shelley Craft joked.

At this point in time, it’s not known what role the “Spinning Around” singer will play on the series, however, Scott and Shelley did hint that it’s going to be the most dramatic season yet.

“There will be meltdowns,” Shelley said. “Even I had a few meltdowns,” Scott added. “It was too big. I only needed one team to finish, because that would mean it wasn’t too big and that everybody could’ve finished. That’s an indication that there’s trouble right from the outset.”

On the upcoming season of the hit Channel Nine series, the contestants will convert St Kilda’s 1850s Oslo Hotel into five terrace houses. It’s the largest building site we’ve seen on The Block to date.
