Despite admitting her brother-in-law Liam Hemsworth “deserves someone much better” than Miley Cyrus, Elsa Pataky is now refusing to discuss their split.

During her appearance on Sunrise this morning, the Spanish model politely shut down Natalie Barr’s question about Liam and Miley’s strained dynamic, saying: “Look, Liam is doing great. But I prefer not to talk about his private life. He is the one that has to talk about it.
“But he is getting happier and he has his family to just go and stay with, his brothers and best friend. So that’s good, and he spent some time with us.”
Her refusal to dish on the current situation comes days after the wife of Thor star Chris Hemsworth weighed in on Miley and Liam’s acrimonious breakup, slamming her former sister-in-law for the way she treated the Australian actor.
“My brother-in-law, well… after a relationship that you’ve dedicated ten years to, he’s a little bit down, but he’s coping well, he’s a strong boy and he deserves the best,” the 43-year-old said during a press conference in Madrid.
“I think he deserves much better.”
While Miley hasn’t reacted to Elsa’s dig, there’s speculation her shady remarks tipped an already heartbroken Miley over the edge. As fears for her wellbeing grow, a US report tabloid recently claimed Miley has secretly been “shipped off to rehab” after her “loved ones staged an intervention”.
“She’s been off the rails now for so long, and something very serious had to be done because Miley’s spiralling into dangerous territory with this crazy behaviour,” an unnamed source shockingly dished to American publication, GLOBE.
As per the article, the 26-year-old’s recent admission to hospital for surgical repair of her vocal cords was a “cover-up” for her “to drop out of sight and work on her issues and addiction problems.” Hence why the “burnt out” star is rarely posting photos on social media.
“The trouble is that she’s so insecure, and the moment she’s not the centre of attention she acts out to try and stay relevant,” the source continued. “That means partying and pulling these crazy stunts to get everyone’s attention, and it’s ultimately all caught up with her.
“She’s totally burnt out.”
Earlier this week, Miley and Liam made headlines when a source friendly with the star revealed she’s planning to reunite with Liam in the coming weeks to settle their “messy” divorce. While it will no doubt be an emotionally charged reunion, he’s said to have requested a third party be involved during the process amid speculation Miley “turned into a green-eyed monster” when he confirmed his romance with Maddison Brown.
“Miley and Liam have agreed to put their differences aside and meet for mediation talks – before their messy divorce spirals out of control,” a source close to the duo told British publication, Heat World.
“They’ve both calmed down now and Liam just wants this chapter done with, so he can move on. Liam was angry and bitter in the beginning, but his family calmed him down and he started to heal— especially when he realised he was falling in love again.”
