There wasn’t a shadow of a doubt about who would win this years Love Island Australia.

They’ve been front-runners since they met in the villa, and now, Josh Packham and Anna McEvoy have taken out the title of Love Island winners 2019!
The couple who remained the most steady throughout the series spoke exclusively with Who about everything that went down in the villa, and it included a lot of snacks, under the sheets shenanigans and Sophie Monk’s boyfriend!
The couple, who had already dropped the L-bomb have made solid plans for their future already, just one day out of the villa.
“We’re going to go on a two week holiday probably outside of Australia just to get away from the craziness. Then we will be travelling back and forth (between Anna’s hometown in Melbourne and Josh’s in Sydney). Eventually, we both want to move to Queensland. We’re excited.”
Not one to stray far from his twin brother Luke, who was dumped from the island recently with partner Cassie, we wondered if he would be okay with that big decision.
Laughing, Josh admitted, “He’ll probably follow me wherever I go. I probably won’t be able to get rid of him that’s for sure.”
Interestingly, Anna’s BFF from the show and finalist Cartier reigns from Queensland herself.
Josh revealed that “Cartier has said that if we move to the Gold Coast we can expect her to third wheel.”
Not sure whether or not Cartier and her Love Island partner Matt will make it on the outside, the winning couple had the grand idea of Cartier and Josh’s twin Luke giving it a go if they all decide to live together in the Sunshine State.
“Yeah potentially there is a window of opportunity there!”
While fans have no doubt about Anna and Josh’s potential on the outside, interests about their co-star’s activities remained high. Like clearing up once and for all if Margarita and Blake actually did have a sexual rendezvous on camera.
ANNA: “YES!”
JOSH: “Yeah, sometimes I saw movement under the sheets.”
ANNA: “I think they did. For sure.”
Spending a night together outside the villa, away from the cameras and 50 thousand dollars richer, did Josh and Anna take their relationship to that next level?
“Let’s just say it was a late night last night,” Josh cheekily revealed.
Unlike other reality shows such as The Bachelor and Bachelorette, the stars of Love Island weren’t provided with copious amounts of alcohol, despite not having much to do all day.
JOSH: “We were limited to one drink, and on a big night two drinks max.”
ANNA: “We were pretty sober the whole time.”
JOSH: “We can’t wait to get to a bar.”
In fact, they didn’t have much to do but eat.
JOSH: “The food in the villa was very tempting. We had cookies, pancake mix. We had pancakes at 11 pm at night, it was ridiculous. We had chocolates and chips. It was basically just a massive pig-out. We all just let loose. We might pick up weights for 10 minutes in the morning but it was too hot and the weights were really light.”
Finally, the stars got to work alongside one of Australia’s biggest names, Sophie Monk, and as expected, they adored her.
“Sophie is great, everyone loved her!” said Josh. “Everyone was a little starstruck when she walked in but she is very good at what she does. She’s very fun. Everyone loved being around her.”
Interestingly, Sophie brought along her boyfriend Joshua Gross for the ride.
Anna revealed: “He was in the audience of the finale so we got to see him. At one point through the show we were filming when the girls were having lunch with her, we saw a guy in the background and we thought it was an intruder but it turns out it was Sophie’s boyfriend!”
Lucky them!
As for those engagement rumours that were recently swirling around, when Sophie skipped out on a dumping session from the show, Anna can confirm that he didn’t pop the question while they were in Fiji.
“No, she isn’t engaged. We didn’t see any ring on her finger.”
