They seemed to be flying high on affection for each other but Married at First Sight’s Connie and Jonethen were at loggerheads as the phonegate saga continued.

And, with Jonethen breaking the couple’s one Intimacy Week rule – no phones – Connie decided to swap the marital bed for the couch.
“He’s not taking the phone rule seriously,” she said to camera, visibly saddened. “He thinks it’s a joke.”

“He’s just dropped his most recent selfie, then he’s just checking his likes.”
Connie then goes on to explain that the light from his phone was shining in her face while she was trying to sleep.

But Jonethen was defiant, “Next time I’ll just keep all my concentration on you,” he said. “That’s okay. You can be the focal point of everything.”
“We’re in a relationship, it’s not a dictatorship,” he added.
Connie took exception to the word ‘dictatorship’. Rising from the couch she said, “A dictatorship? Is that what you think this is?”
“I understand it’s a silly rule. But because it’s silly it should be easy,” she told the camera. “If he can’t take that seriously, how’s he going to take me seriously?”

Ah, Connie and Jonethen, no matter how much we back this couple and hope for their happiness together, they just don’t seem to enjoy smooth sailing.
This week they’ve written love notes to each other, painted chocolate compliments on each other’s bodies and Jonethen sacrificed his phone for a few hours in the name of intimacy, surely they can fix this?
