When we last saw Married at First Sight’s Natasha and Mikey their relationship was in tatters after Natasha shared Mikey’s 10-second prowess at the dinner party.
Now it’s time for them to reconnect with family and friends and, although the outlook was grim, they’ve decided to move back in together and make amends.
Hope springs eternal. Or does it?

Fast forward to lunch and Mikey, who simply cannot move on from 10-second gate, ruined it.
They’d invited both sets of parents.

The compliments were flowing from Natasha, she called him a ‘sensational’ skier, she shared they’d had an at-home spa day and she did it all with a smile and a positive tone.
Despite Natasha telling us that “Mikey is a north shore boy, the type my dad has always wanted me to end up with” the reality wasn’t so, thankfully.

Mikey was aggressive, rude and picking a fight at the table. Leaving both sets of parents feeling uncomfortable.
“You change in front of certain people,” Mikey said to Natasha. “Sometimes you’re awesome and we get on really well. Then you’ll change, for example in a crowd, and that side scares me about you.”
It was a comment that brought Natasha to tears and her mum to her defence.

“Mikey has no idea who Natasha is,” she told the camera. “As you peel back the layers and you get to the core, you will see what she’s really like.”
In floods of tears, Natasha said, “My worst fear is to walk away with an enemy.”
“I haven’t said two-bob,” interjected Natasha’s dad. “But I reckon if it’s causing stress and strain, guys it doesn’t work. It’s not worth it.

“It’s meant to be fun, it’s meant to be natural, it’s meant to be fantastic. And I can understand the point of working things out.
“I don’t think you’re going to get over the top of it. I think you’re better off maintaining some dignity and respect for each other and going home.
“I think it’s time to call it quits and go home.”
Natasha, at this point beside herself, walked out.
