When reality set in that she was about to marry a complete stranger in front of two dozens cameras, Poppy Jennings had second thoughts.

Just moments before meeting her groom at the altar, it became increasingly clear that photographer felt like she could be making a huge mistake and was hoping to bow out before laying eyes on her Married At First Sight husband.
“I just keep thinking to myself, what the f–k are you doing?” she revealed as she was prepping for the event. “This is the most petrified I’ve ever been in my life,” she added, admitting that she’d been crying non-stop after saying goodbye to her two-year-old twins.
To make matters worse, after exchanging vows, the 38-year-old told Australia that she didn’t feel an “instant spark” with hubby Luke. And while we’re yet to see how their relationship evolves, many are convinced the brunette bombshell is no longer with her on-screen partner.
After her segment aired on Monday night, Poppy was photographed watching the special moment back during a screening of the show at her local bar, with the mum-of-two unable to contain her emotions when watched herself saying I Do. In photos obtained by Daily Mail Australia, Poppy can be seen sobbing as her nearest and dearest comforted her during the heartfelt moment. To make matters worse, Luke was nowhere to be seen.
While she composed herself and was later spotted smiling with her pals, her emotions could’ve been triggered by the fact she copped an intense amount of backlash after she tied the knot with Luke. Lots of Australians claimed she was “cold” and “insensitive” for abandoning FIFO worker Luke Eglin, 39 at their wedding reception.
“Poppy is seriously insensitive and selfish towards Luke,” one person wrote while another shared a meme of Disney villain Ursula and added: “Poppy seems cold”.
Another shared a meme from the movie Bird Box, showing actress Sandra Bullock blindfolded, writing: “Poppy out there doing her best Bird Box to avoid eye contact with Luke.”
Someone else added: ‘”Anyone who was stupid enough to play the ‘take a swig every time Poppy mentions her kids’ is now comatose.”
While we’re desperate to know whether they’re still together, co-stars Cathy Evans and Josh Pihlak recently revealed that the status of their relationships should be the least of our worries. Spilling on what’s to come on the wildly popular experiment, with the pair admitting that tension and drama are set to reach an all-time high very soon. In fact, Poppy even said that we can expect to see a few of the contestant’s stoop even lower than former contestant Cyrell Paule throwing a glass of red wine on her arch-nemesis, Martha Kalifatidis.
Appearing on Nova 9.69 this morning after making their reality TV debut last night, when asked by Fitzy, Whippa and Sarah McGilvray what fans can expect in the drama department, both Luke and Poppy said things are about to get “very ugly”.
“It’s a circus,” logistics investigator Sarah said before adding that the feuds during this season are far worse than what we’ve seen to date.
“There was a glass of red wine thrown over someone in the last series. Can that be topped?” Fitzy asked. “Yep,” Josh and Cathy said simultaneously.
