The sister of Married At First Sight star Andrew Jones has slammed the television show for leaving out vital footage.
Belinda Jones claims Cheryl mistreated her brother during his visit to her hometown on the Gold Coast.
“The ordeal with Cheryl’s Dad was nothing compared to the Gold Coast home stay,” Belinda told PerthNow.
On Tuesday’s episode, the 38-year-old was grilled by the show’s psychologists for opening up about his relationship to the other contestants behind Cheryl’s back.
“That episode was hard to watch because I knew there was no betrayal,” Belinda said.
“Andrew only promised not to talk about what really happened on the Gold Coast but always intended to confide in his good friends.
“It was necessary for him after the journey he’d been on.”
At the commitment ceremony on Sunday’s episode, the firefighter chose to leave the experiment after coming to ‘the conclusion that Cheryl wasn’t interested.’ With Cheryl choosing to stay, the rules were that the couple must continue to work on their relationship.
