Married At First Sight may be over for another year but season eight’s Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson are still going strong. And, they’re not letting their haters get them down.

Over the weekend, Bryce, 31, shared a selection of photos to his Instagram account of himself and Melissa enjoying some romantic dates together in Melbourne – where Bryce relocated to from Canberra to be with this on-screen wife.

In one snap, Bryce and Melissa smile together whilst aboard a boat on the city’s famous Yarra River, Melissa, 31, wearing a captain’s hat.

“Cruising the Yarra,” Bryce simply captioned his post.

However, when one person commented “Muppet and his puppet,” alongside several crying with laughter and eye rolling emojis, the former radio announcer simply replied: “Totes,” with his own crying with laughter emoji.

When another penned: “Mr and Mrs FLOG,” beneath the post, Bryce remarked: “Thanks for following,” with an applause emoji.

The MAFS couple also shared a photo from a box at AAMI Park where they watched the ANZAC Day NRL game between local team Melbourne Storm and the New Zealand Warriors.

Both wearing Melbourne purple scarves, Bryce and Melissa were all smiles for the camera.

“Thanks @storm for having us on Anzac Day. P.S. Still a @cronullasharks fan next week!” Bryce joked in his caption.

Though they’ve had their haters, the couple were also flooded with messages from fans.

“You make a great couple. Glad you had a wonderful night!” exclaimed one.

“You’re a Melbournian now. Go Storm,” laughed another.

Shortly after the MAFS finale, both Bryce and Melissa thanked fans for their support via separate Instagram posts to their respective accounts.

“Thank you to everyone who supported @lissrawson & I throughout our crazy journey on #MAFS,” Bryce wrote at the time.

“Together we proved that when you have true feelings for someone, you care & support each other, nothing can tear you apart. I will be forever grateful to the @mafs experiment for introducing us and wish everyone else on the experiment nothing but the best in their quest to find their soulmate. I have never been happier & can’t wait for our future together. We both look forward to sharing that with those who supported us!”

Meanwhile Melissa remarked: “I am so grateful to everyone who has been so supportive, encouraging, even constructive in their public thoughts and comments about myself and @bryceruthven. All I ever wanted was to fall in love and be true to who I am and I’m so lucky and proud that I was able to achieve both of those feats. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and even though our @mafs journey has come to an end, this is just the beginning of the rest of our lives.”

During their time on the show, Bryce had an alleged secret girlfriend and Melissa was repeatedly told more details about the scandal by their co-stars.

However, Bryce has denied all claims and Melissa has stood by him.

“It’s news to me. To be honest, I know there’s articles and podcasts and other rubbish floating around but I’m just not reading it,” he explained to TV WEEK

“I didn’t believe that, there’s a lot of controversy around that conversation,” Melissa explained at Fitzy and Wippa’s MAFS Dinner Party last month.

“Bryce was very honest with me from the beginning and I was very understanding about his past.”
