Despite fighting non-stop, sharing TMI about their sex life, Toiletgate and the Party Pash cheating scandal it was a simple revenge plot that proved to be their undoing.

After arguing and picking at each other at the commitment ceremony, the experts were done and called time on the union, throwing both Hayley and David off the show.

This is how it went down…

JOHN “You’ve really discussed pretty much everything that you’ve needed to discuss and it is pretty toxic what we see now on the couch.”

DAVID “I think we can all agree Hayley has been done with this relationship a long time ago.

“I don’t want to be here anymore, I don’t want to have to sit next to Hayley anymore, I don’t want to be in this toxic environment anymore.”

David revealed he’d written Leave.

HAYLEY “Well you know what, I can dance the good dance and be as immature as everyone else on this planet and I said I’m going to stay because I’m enjoying this too much babe.”

Hayley revealed she’d written Stay.

HAYLEY “The reason that I have wrote stay right, is that if he wants to do something like that to me, he can sit there for another week now and think about his actions before he goes back to his loved ones.

“Because I sat there thinking ‘what the hell have I done as a woman to get this level of utter disregard shoved in my face?”

“I don’t want to be here anymore, I don’t want to have to sit next to Hayley anymore, I don’t want to be in this toxic environment anymore,” said an uncharacteristically eloquentDavid.

JOHN “It is very, very unhealthy what you’ve got between each other. It is toxic.

“There are certain standards that we’ve got to adhere to. I think also, it’s not in the spirit of the experiment for you to be staying to get back at your partner.

“With that being said, we will send you back to the group and both of you now will leave the experiment regardless of the decision you’ve written on the pads.

This relationship is clearly beyond repair.”

And with that, this year’s most dramatic couple exited the show.
