Whilst the Married At First Sight experience worked out for his pals Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson, Jason Engler and his bride Alana Lister weren’t as successful a match. However, it appears Jason isn’t afraid to make a swipe at his ex, even though filming wrapped months ago.

On Monday evening, Bryce shared a relationship update with fans on Instagram, writing: “8 months & stronger than ever @lissrawson.”
Fans of the controversial couple were quick to share messages of congratulations, including Jason.
“I want what they have!!” the 35-year-old construction estimator penned.
However, when one of Jason’s fans replied, “marry me,” Jason remarked, “Can’t be worse than last time so I do!”
Just last week, Jason slammed his TV ex wife when he answered fans’ burning questions in an Instagram Q&A.
Though he didn’t share many of the questions, one stood out. Or should we say, one response.
“When are you and Alana getting back together?!”, one fan penned.
Jason simply replied with a picture of himself flashing his peace fingers and captioning it: “Heaps of these ones… short and long answer is never.”
Though they were strong throughout the experiment, Jason and Alana couldn’t make it work past the final vows.
Alana later confirmed to Yahoo Lifestyle that the reason for their split was due to the video that emerged of Jason making homophobic and fatphobic remarks about bisexual co-star, Liam Cooper.
“Well, obviously the controversy was something that ended our relationship, so it impacted me in the way that Jason and I are not together anymore,” she told the publication.
“We were never able to get past that controversy.”
As for Bryce and Melissa, they’ve made the ultimate commitment – matching tattoos.
The pair have the same kite design inked on their arms and it holds a special meaning that goes back to their honeymoon when they flew kites together.
“Our favourite part of our honeymoon that never got shown because unfortunately it didn’t match ‘our storyline’. Got them the week after filming final vows in December, 2020,” Bryce revealed on Instagram.
